first off "bayan ko" is an old poem written in the late 1920s by a legendary pinoy poet Huseng Butate and was put music by Constancio de Guzman and this song was used to revolt agianst the Marcos Dictatorship, so Bayan Ko is not a poem ripped off some mexican song, please research a bit before posting something that you know have knowledge of it might just have been coincidental that the songs music matched

heLLO to Philippines, im from malaysia and here we have our local singer who sang this song at his concert in 2 languages.. one is with my language whis is MALAY at the beginning song and continued with ur language at ending.. for me he sounded very incredibLe because his Philippine accent was great.. to Philippines, can you tell me how his pronunciation.. whether good or bad...

I heard this song first when I was nine years, since my mom had been to the Philippines. Me, her and her ex played it and sang and played it all the time, and I fell in love with the song. When they broke up three years later, I never got to hear the song again. Now, I'm almost 18, and me and my mom haven't got any contact at all. A week ago, I came home from my first vacation on the Philippines. Down there I got to hear the song again, and it made me cry. -Norway.
