I got a Logitech C200, it's supported by the UVC but I only see this weird animated image with the colors and so on and nothing more, it doesn't work in skype either, but it's recogniced and everything, what should I do?

@OSGUIShow Well, in the store there only are Microsoft and Logitech webcams, I tried 2 different Logitech webcams, if Logitech doesn't work I don't think some Microsoft-low quality-shit will work

I bought the cheapest webcam from ALDI supermarket for $20 and it works awesome in Linux I hear any new webcam works in Linux, it's just old models are not standards complient

It records pictures, video from a webcam, but it does not record the sound with th video.

sound settings can be tricky so check out PulseAudio manager

Thank you for your answer about Audiopulse, but I have an issue with microphone features not being recognized at all in Ubuntu on this Acer laptop. I see Audiopulse is installed but i can run it. It does not appear in the application menu, nor it runs with gnome do.

Actually pulseaudio. I found out that my Acer is equipped with a component which has become buggy under the current version of Ubuntu. And microphone won't work until I switch to the previous kernel. I'll wait for the next release hoping that it ill be fixed by then.

bardzo swietny programik do ubuntu programisci ktorzy robili ten programik do kamerki zrobili perfekcyjna robote , jeden pakiet, proste ustawienia , nagrywanie video juz prostsze nie moglo byc , robienie zdjec z odstepem czasu jaki chcesz ,bez kitu ja widzialem rozne sterowniki do kamerki ale ta jest najlepsza
