Its just a term to class areas of the world into sections without taking into account heritage and cultural background. Such as Western Europe, North and South America, Africa, Asia, Austrailia and the Antartic. Asia refers to Chinese, Japanese, Indians, Arabs and so on, its what the western world classes sections of the world, whilst if your from a certain background of a continent then you know its different.

Well, Natives A. aren't called Asian because their migration happened long ago, it'd be like calling white americans europeans . Time is an important factor here. I think you're being too sensitive, and I guess the reason is that maybe you're feeling too superior to other asians that you want to be differentiated from them because the difference can't be noticed at sight. It's like: "I don't have a watch I have a Rolex". If you want to feel special, that's ok with me, I'm tolerant.

@mysmallpets yes Asians generally hate being lumped with japanese b/c the japanese have raped and murdered many East Asian people. for instance, japan is responsible for the rape of nanking, in which they killed women by sticking branches up their vaginas, and practiced shooting by using babies as targets (thrown in the air). the japanese government actually encouraged the soldiers to rape the women - regardless of age.

@mysmallpets also the japanese annexed Korea at the end of WW1, and pretty much treated the Koreans like dirt, to put it mildly, until they were forced out at the end of WW2. There's been plenty written about the horrific treatment of Koreans by japanese during their decades of occupation. For some of the worst of the atrocities, try researching the term "Comfort women".

@mysmallpets To make matters worse, japan has never apologized for their actions during the war - including not just Korea, but China, and The Philippines as well.

Yum Yum! It made my mouth water and my belly grumble.

I am native american, and I have never been called asian before. I live in North America, also that ice bridge is just a retarded theory that people tend to think true. There have been discoveries of civilization in the Americas, pre-dating the ice bridge theory. Just a little bit of info.

Like i said sometimes my friend. Actually, many people thinks some "scientific" facts as a dogmatic matter, like a new religion. A real scientific mind cannot be focused in one way or take everything in knowing matters as an absolute. If they do that, they are similar to a fundamentalist dogmatic priest of any religion, or simply a fanatic one...so from that part, there is no analitical or scientific thinking.

@members12 that is not explicitly true. the Japanese government has yet to make a formal, official apology statement, and i agree they should. but to say japan has not apologised is wrong, as that implies japanese people in general. many funds etc have been set up and funded out of regular japanese peoples pockets to mak amends, and many public apologies have been made. don't be so ignorant.
Gaijin - Posted on Mar 20, 2010
@members12 you do know many nations of the world have also done horrible things, right? it's no excuse, but dont be blinded by ignorance and stupidity and go on and on about such things. remember the past but dont dwell on it. and dont judge a new generation on what their ancestors did. look at the Spanish and their Empire, the UK, the Nazi's...in Europe and Americas and Asia these countries are not hated anymore.
Gaijin - Posted on Mar 20, 2010
@members12 I think your issue, like many in asia, including japan, is the inherent racism of older generations still coming through. also i feel some nations like playing the victim so they feel they have leverage with japan. grow up
Gaijin - Posted on Mar 20, 2010
@members12 while some of the things you state are hearsay rather than fact, yes these were awful things the imperial japanese ARMY did. the government was run by the MILITARY. don't blame the Japanese people, they did not have a say and the ones who know what happened are sickened and apologise.
Gaijin - Posted on Mar 20, 2010
@members12 even the younger generations do despite it having nothing to do with them! i don apologise for the British Empire to Indian people ffs! and if you wan to get anal, koreans, thai, chinese and mongolians all comited terrible acts during history and war grow up! racist!
members12 - Posted on Mar 20, 2010
@Gaijin it's not hearsay. there are pictures of dead Chinese women with branches sticking out of their vaginas, with japanese soldiers smiling next to them. there are pictures of babies being tossed in the air while japanese soldiers practiced their shooting. there is a famous picture of a Chinese man's head floating in mid-air right after a smiling japanese soldier finishes decapitating him. what's even more offensive is japanese people denying this ever happend, like u seem to do.
members12 - Posted on Mar 20, 2010
@Gaijin japan is represented by its gov't. until the gov't apologizes for all the atrocities then what I've said is true. no IFs ANDs or Buts. and all the countries have been demanding an apology for decades, to no avail. why? who knows. japan likes to deny all the evil their responsible for. doing.
KawaiiTennyo - Posted on Mar 20, 2010
damn my friends dad made this look so easy. -_-
jfrd28 - Posted on Mar 20, 2010
Wow people argue about nations' atrocities in cooking video page?
mikoyyuy1 - Posted on Mar 21, 2010
@members12 yes they did not apologize to any of those countries.
mikoyyuy1 - Posted on Mar 21, 2010

I admit that we are racially the same as they. But, for example ,you dont call Native American "Asian" even though they are racially the same as we. so you should define us "Japanese", not "Asian".
