(Aug. 4)Emergency crews are getting into place as Tropical Storm Edouard picks up steam in the Gulf of Mexico.The storm is churning just south of Louisiana and is expected to make landfall somewhere in Texas or southwest Louisiana tomorrow morning.Edouard is feeding off the warm Gulf waters and could reach hurricane strength before it hits.Right now, its top sustained winds are around 50 miles an hour, but they could reach 75 or more by tomorrow.This would be the second storm to hit Texas this season, even as many residents in the state's southern tip are still dealing with the effects of Hurricane Dolly.Residents in Texas and southwestern Louisiana are being urged to take precaution and emergency teams in both states have been activated.So far no evacuations have been ordered. _ _ _ _ _ _ , The Associated Press.
